How to Install & Uninstall Openvas in Kali Linux

OpenVAS is a vulnerability scanner that is both free and open-source. I've been experiencing trouble logging into the OpenVAS web interface on Kali Linux. I don't remember installing it, but I don't remember the password, and the password reset techniques I've tried haven't worked. I tried a few various techniques to completely delete and restart OpenVAS, but I was having difficulties until I came across this guide:

sudo apt autoremove

sudo apt-get purge openvas*

sudo apt-get purge openvas9*

sudo apt-get purge openvas*
